LeftField Keele returns with another weekly instalment of LeftField Fridays – this time with the banger “How I Feel” produced and engineered by 5PiECE. Listen to the track below, and read the behind-the-scenes story of how it came together.
This was one of the first records I ever recorded for Keele, and it was originally on a different beat that he had laying around from another producer. A year later, after I’d been producing for him for a few weeks, he wanted to revisit this track and inject some new life into it. With the original instrumental muted, I came up with this new bouncy anthem around his acapella and the rest was history. The irony was how this beat emphasized parts of the song differently. For example, in the original version, the chorus was high energy on the instrumental but in this version, the chorus opens up and becomes more laid back in comparison. Hope you dig it- stay tuned for another episode of LeftField Fridays dropping soon.
The homie LeftField Keele kicks off his 2018 with “Tunnel Vision”, produced and engineered by none other than 5PiECE. This is a really cool record featuring some Atlanta style drum grooves, West-coast synths and sporadic fast-paced raps from the LeftField spitter.
This will be the warm up for Keele as he plans to drop music regularly through his LeftField Fridays campaign. Be sure to look out for more LeftField Keele x 5PiECE music over the coming weeks. Peep “Tunnel Vision” below:
